The next step.

Today was my introduction to instruction. Meaning, today was the first session of a corset making course. So far there are two students. They were lead through how to adjusted a pattern to their measurements, cut out the lining and went over the basic construction steps. To save them money the begining sewing is homework. For my first time "teaching", it went pretty well. Had to remind myself to let them do they actual work. I have to work on logical steps, timing and definitions. A space bigger than my livingroom and more prep will be key to efficient use of time. As they are at different levels with skills and focus it was interesting to figure out my approch.
