Green Smoothies & Raw food

It has been a month of 2 green smoothies a day (for this I thank Lisa), plus regular meals. I have a smoothie for breakfast and either take one to work or have it when I get home. Spinach is my favorite to use as a base. Kale tends to be a rather strong so I mix it with other greens and use stronger flavored fruits. because all plants have a minute amount of toxin in them it is recommended to rotate the greens for your smoothies to prevent a build up in your system.

I still have sushi, pie, chicken, salmon, soydogs, eggs, yam fries, sub wraps, cookies and even a A&W burger. The portions do tend to be smaller. So not going completely raw. On the other hand I am able to consume a huge plate of veggies at a sitting. Even raw cabbage. My stomach does not seem as bloated or upset as easy.I seem to be more sensitive to flavors and whether something is good for me or not. The grapes from Chile made my lips burn when added to a smoothie. Note to self * by organic and local. A piece of pizza tasted good but made my stomach queasy while doing nothing to Robert.

I have cut down on the dairy, red meat, potato chips, junk food, carbonated drinks, cheap chocolate, pizza, etc. The weird side effect is that I am not craving these foods and at times am not able to finish a portion as it is too salty, greasy or rich. Even left a chocolate donut in the fridge for 2 days then ate it. Right now there is chocolate cake in the fridge and it is not calling my name. The banana looks mighty good though. And that I am craving fresh cut grass is very Pavlov response. Chlorophyll is yummy to me.

I love red, orange and yellow bell peppers but can't stand green. And according to Kristen's Raw "BTW, I never eat green bell peppers because they're not ripe, which can cause digestive trouble." HA!

Took a few measurements and will see if things change in another month or so. I put the weight on over many years so assume it will take awhile to come off. Plus we don't own a scale so the only way to judge if there is change is by how well my pants fit.
