Happy Thanksgiving to all.
This year I am making my first turkey dinner. The price and size of the birds was a bit of a shock.
Today was laundry, cleaning, organizing, baking and prepping for the major cooking tomorrow. Some of the cookies and muffins did not turn out very well. So are for immediate consumption. The others that are more attractive will be saved for dinner tomorrow.
This morning at the Laundromat I met a very sweet couple from Texas. I told them the quirks of the machines and about the connected coffee shop. So we talked while the clothes did their thing. They are retired from prestigious careers, he as a professor, she a CEO of a fortune 500 company. Both have traveled extensively and are highly educated. It was a nice way to pass the time.
Many things to do in few hours. To break up the chores I have been working on the wings for my halloween costume. I sacrificed 4 hangers to the cause. It is amazing what one can do with duct tape.
Dad gave me this apron.
These are thimbles. I thought they were a collection of the top halves of a random selection of small but not the smallest nesting dolls. The woman who Dad bought them from has approximately 2000.
The wings. Now to see if they work on the hinges.
