It is almost midnight and the second batch of pears is 15 minutes from done. The tree in the back yard produced lots but they were small. Pealing all of them took a bit of time. Now there are 24 500ml and 48 1l jars that have sealed. The down side is that I burned the plum sauce so the jam is a bit creole and smoky. Even got one jar of pear & apple butter, which turned out rather yummy.
