Typical Spring and appliances.
I love my (our) little apartment. It is cosy, cute and has a great view. The down side is walking up 3 (short) flights of stairs, old appliances, many drafts and the occasional rat. The stairs are good for my legs but hard on the delivery men. Recently the fridge stopped working so was replaced with a shiny new one. The oven made big "whoomph" noises when lite and even blew the door open once. So it was also replaced with a shiny new one today. Still in it's wrappers. Too bad the gas guy comes on Monday.
Like I said poor delivery men.
The drafts are great for fresh air and keep the place cooler in the summer.
The view is great. I can see the mountains off in the distance. The beautiful blue sky being quickly taken over by dark grey rain clouds which turned to snow and then to hail. I can't even see the mountains now. It is all white. Though there is some snow on the ground it will quickly melt. Such is spring in Victoria. Ahh now back to big fluffy snowflakes.
It is Wednesday night and we have not had hot water in the building since the gas was hooked up Monday. Right now Robert is boiling water for me to have a bath. The stove is big and there is no clearance so the walls are getting hot.
Fun? No. Safe? Probably not.
