Matilda - the escape artist.

Most of the time Matilda spends most of the time running on her wheel. Round and round. Then the other day she got out... I found her scurrying around the edge of the livingroom. I used the same trick (a juice jug on its side with a honey treat way at the back) to capture her. It worked just like when her cage needs cleaning.

Then I found her walking along the top of her cage/tub. The following pictures are a supervised recreation.






She is one strong hamster. Probably from the 4 hours a day she runs on the wheel. Here she is almost pushing my fingers apart. If there was a next photo it would be of Matilda nearly escaping my grip.


Matilda now wants out. So climbs her water bottle and pushes at the lid. So cute all squnched up.
