On Vacation
Robert and I flew to Kelowna, rented a budget car but got an up-grade because they were running low on subcompacts. Instead we got a huge yellow truck. It is comfy as a passenger but a bit squshy for Robert who is much taller than me.
We had lunch at Joeys bar & grill, then went and played mini golf and pin ball at the most run down fun park I have seen so far. It was fun as the score was not being kept and it was virtualy empty.
We stayed at the first hotel that seemed a bit off the highway. It was cozy(small) but quiet enough.
Friday night was an old car parade and saturday all of Baker street(downtown) was blocked off and the cars were on display. I have yet to upload many pictures. The cars were beautiful and so well restored.
It is such a small town that we even ran into friends and family just wandering around looking at all the colourful cars.
Today the plan is to head to New Denver to the Garlic festival. There is a forest fire not far away so the sound of helicopters is constant.
