Drudge

It is 1 am and I just finished another skirt. It is a record, now I have 2 finished. Being a seamstress has its challenges for instance: Robert and I were married for 7 months before I hemmed one pair of his pants. It took a couple months to even hem my own jeans.

I have been sewing in some form or another for 15 years and for the most part inspiration has vanished. Untill a few months ago when I made flannel PJs for my niece and nephew. For some reason that was a catalyst for creativity.





Day to day life and work is exhausting but seeing Sadie in that outfit made me laugh.

I used to want to be like Karl Lagerfeld because he is such a sucess in the fashion industry but tonight I realised we have three things in common:
1. We like have mainly black wardrobes
2. We have the pony tail down pat
3. Our initals are K L

Realization #2- if I wore those glasses each time I saw my reflection the ensuing laughter would cause me to pee my pants.
Realization #3- The odds of making it huge in the fashion industry are 1 in 650 000
